3 On the Bund

3 On the Bund are a rising young traditional band, with strong Donegal connections. For singer and concertina player, Susan Coleman, this is very much a hometown gig, as she hails from nearby Castlefin, while keyboards and fiddle player Ella McGrory is from Culdaff, Inishowen. Their fellow band members include Rebecca McCarthy Kent from Waterford on fiddle, uilleann piper Simon Pfisterer from Bavaria and guitarist Sean Kelliher from Killarney.

They met at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick, where all five were studying Irish Traditional Music Performance. Blending tradition with innovation, their complex layered arrangements include both traditional and newly composed material, played with energy and passion.

As well as performing extensively across Ireland, they have toured in the UK, Europe, the US and Asia. They released their debut CD, Frenzy, in 2022 and are currently working on their second.
