Brian Friel’s maternal homestead, The Laurels, has recently undergone an extensive conservation and refurbishment and its garden re-set to a design by award-winning designer Diarmuid Gavin. Thie will be the first public event to be held in the location that inspired one of Friel’s best loved plays, Dancing at Lughnasa. Glenties
