Join Michael Harding and local writer Dubhán Ó Longáin as they discuss Michael’s distinguished career as well as his reflections on life, creativity and the importance of the Irish language in both their lives.
A native of County Cavan, Michael Harding is an award-winning writer, playwright and performer. For almost twenty years, he has contributed a much-loved column to The Irish Times. His plays have been staged by the Abbey Theatre (Strawboys, Úna Pooka) and Fishamble Theatre (The Tinkers Curse) and his memoir series, which includes the best-selling Staring at Lakes and the current I Loved Him From The Day He Died, has been praised as a profound personal reflection on love, loss and the human experience.
Dubhán Ó Longáin is a poet, writer, researcher and Irish language teacher from Donegal. He has won awards for his academic research, his poetry and his short stories. His most recent poetry collection, IDEO Locator, was published in 2020 by Coiscéim. He undertook reading tour of America earlier this year and contributes regular articles on Irish folklore to the journal, Nós.
