Myths and Legends Carnival Parade
The annual Donegal Bay and Blue Stacks Festival Carnival Parade, back after an extended break, is one of the highlights of the cultural calendar in Ballyshannon and South Donegal.
Over 200 performers, will take to the streets in a riot of colour, sound and movement to celebrate the myths and legends around Ballyshannon’s maritime heritage connection to the O’Donnell’s, Chieftains of Donegal.
Co-ordinated by Maura Logue of Dark Daughter Productions, the Parade will feature Inishowen Carnival, Killybegs Accordian Band, Tanya Ward’s Aislingí Dancers, the Michelle Belle School of Dance, Stars of the West, the Ballytour group, Ballyshannon Street Band and the Stephanie Pawula Samba Band.
